The Legacy of Khajuraho and Panna
A Regal Khajuraho Escape pairs the architectural splendour of India's most intricate temples with the untamed beauty of one of Central India's premier tiger reserves. Over four immersive days, you will move between UNESCO World Heritage monuments and wildlife encounters, staying at the newly restored 350 year old Oberoi Rajgarh Palace, set on the Managad Hills overlooking Panna National Park.
The journey begins with intimate sightseeing of the Western and Eastern Groups of Khajuraho temples, built by the Chandella dynasty in the 10th and 11th centuries and now celebrated worldwide for their ornate Nagara style carvings and intricate sculptures. Then venture into the wild: pre dawn jeep safaris through Panna National Park yield sightings of Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears and over 350 species of birds, often around the scenic Ken River landscape.

Best Time to Visit Khajuraho and Panna
The ideal season to visit Khajuraho and Panna National Park runs from October to February, when pleasant winter weather makes temple exploration and wildlife safaris comfortable. Daytime temperatures range from 18 to 28 degrees Celsius, perfect for both sightseeing and early morning jeep safaris. March to May offers hot, dry conditions ideal for tiger sightings as animals gather around remaining waterholes, though temperatures can exceed 40 degrees Celsius. The monsoon from July to September closes the park due to heavy rains and animal breeding season.
