This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect the personal information you provide when you visit our website, contact us, make a booking, or otherwise interact with our services.

This Policy is published in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), and is governed by the laws of India.

01 Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you make enquiries, book a tour or visa service, subscribe to communications, or otherwise interact with us. The categories include:

  • Full name, date of birth, gender, nationality, and marital status
  • Postal address, email address, and mobile or landline numbers
  • Photographs (for visa applications, ID verification, and travel records)

Identification and Travel Documents

  • Passport details (number, issue date, expiry date, place of issue)
  • PAN, Aadhaar, voter ID, or other government-issued identification when required by law, airlines, or destination authorities
  • Visa details, OCI / PIO card information, and historical travel records

Travel-Related Information

  • Travel preferences (seat selection, meal type, room type, accessibility needs)
  • Health information, dietary restrictions, allergies, and medical conditions that may affect travel
  • Emergency contact details and next-of-kin information
  • Frequent flyer / hotel loyalty programme numbers

Financial Information

  • Billing address and GSTIN (for corporate bookings)
  • Payment instrument details captured at the time of transaction through our payment gateway partners. We do not store full card numbers, CVV, or UPI PINs on our servers.

Technical and Usage Information

  • IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, and time-zone setting
  • Pages visited, referring URLs, session duration, and click behaviour
  • Cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies

Communication Records

  • Email correspondence, WhatsApp messages, and call recordings (where permitted by law) for quality assurance, dispute resolution, and training

  • Processing tour bookings, visa applications, hotel reservations, flight tickets, and related travel arrangements
  • Coordinating with third-party suppliers such as airlines, hotels, transport operators, visa authorities, and embassies
  • Sending booking confirmations, itineraries, travel advisories, and pre-departure information
  • Providing customer support before, during, and after your trip
  • Processing payments and issuing invoices, refunds, and tax documents
  • Sending promotional offers, newsletters, and personalised travel recommendations (only with your prior consent, which you may withdraw at any time)

  • Complying with applicable laws, court orders, and lawful requests from government authorities
  • Preventing fraud, enforcing our Terms of Use, and protecting the safety of travellers and staff

03 Disclosure to Third Parties

ShreeKrishna acts as an intermediary between travellers and travel service providers. To deliver our services, we share necessary personal information with:

  • Airlines, railways, cruise operators, and transport providers
  • Hotels, resorts, homestays, and accommodation partners
  • Visa processing agencies, embassies, consulates, and immigration authorities
  • Travel insurance partners (only where you opt in)
  • Payment gateways, banks, and financial institutions (Razorpay, Wise, and similar)
  • Destination management companies, local tour operators, and ground handlers
  • Business partners such as Atlys, Tamarind Global, Vinayak Holidays, and similar entities engaged to fulfil specific bookings
  • Statutory authorities and law-enforcement agencies, when disclosure is required by law

We Do Not Sell Your Data

We require all third parties to safeguard your data and use it only for the purposes for which it was shared. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any party for unrelated commercial purposes.

04 International Data Transfers

If your travel involves destinations outside India, your information may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in jurisdictions that may not offer the same level of data protection as India. By booking international travel through us, you consent to such transfers as necessary to deliver the service.

05 Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations:

  • Booking, invoicing, and tax records: minimum eight (8) years, as required under the Income Tax Act, 1961 and the Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017
  • Visa documentation: as required by the relevant embassy or consulate, and a minimum of three (3) years thereafter
  • Marketing data: until you withdraw consent or request deletion
  • Website analytics: typically up to twenty-six (26) months

Once the retention period expires, we securely delete or anonymise your data.

06 Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, including the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the following rights in respect of your personal information:

  • Right to access: you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Right to correction: you may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to erasure: you may request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations
  • Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of past processing
  • Right to nominate: you may nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity
  • Right to grievance redressal: you may raise a concern with our Grievance Officer (see Section 11)

  • Restricted access to personal information on a need-to-know basis among our staff
  • Use of reputed, PCI-DSS compliant payment processors for all financial transactions
  • Periodic review of our information security practices

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is fully secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09 Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from minors. Where a minor is included in a booking, the information is collected from the parent or legal guardian who makes the booking. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor without parental consent, please contact us immediately so we may delete it.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, or our practices. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice (for example, by email or a notice on our home page). Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
