Best Time to Visit Italy

April to June brings mild temperatures and blooming gardens across Rome, Florence and Venice, ideal for walking tours before the peak summer crowds and heat arrive. September and October are equally pleasant with a softer autumn light, while July and August bring intense heat and the busiest crowds at major sites, and winter months from November to March are quieter and cooler, with occasional flooding in Venice's St Mark's Square.
