Tour Overview

Nepal's Greatest Treasures and Sacred Peaks

The Best of Nepal with Muktinath is a nine day journey that binds together Nepal's most revered spiritual sites with its most breathtaking mountain vistas. Starting in the chaos and colour of Kathmandu, the tour moves through the medieval village of Manakamana to the lakeside tranquility of Pokhara and finally ascends to the sacred Muktinath Temple, where Hindu pilgrims and Buddhist monks have gathered for centuries.

This expedition carries you from the UNESCO temples of the Kathmandu Valley through the apple orchards and rhododendron forests of the middle hills, over dramatic mountain passes and into the thin air of the Mustang plateau. At Muktinath, perched at 3,710 metres, you will stand before the eternal flame and the 108 sacred water spouts, a site holy to both faiths and impossible to forget.

Every leg of the journey is planned for comfort and insight. Private transfers, a knowledgeable English speaking guide, and hand picked hotels keep the focus on the mountains, the people and the profound spirituality woven through Nepal's ancient valleys.

Best Time to Visit Nepal

The clear, mild months from October to November and March to May are the best times to visit Nepal. Autumn offers crisp mountain views and stable weather, while spring brings blooming rhododendrons and clear skies. Winter is cold but quiet, and monsoon transforms the country into vivid green, though road access can be disrupted. Avoid June to August when heavy rains affect travel and mountain views.
