Seven Days in the Roof of the World
Exotic Ladakh with Turtuk is a seven day expedition into India's most remote and dramatic high altitude region, where Tibetan Buddhism, Balti culture and some of the world's highest peaks converge. This journey takes you from the bustling spiritual heart of Leh through the ancient Sham monasteries, across the legendary Khardungla Pass at 5,359 metres to the hidden oasis of Nubra Valley, then to the remote Pakistani border village of Turtuk and finally to the incomparable beauty of Pangong Lake.
Along the way you will experience landscapes of stark, crystalline beauty, visit fortress monasteries where Buddhist monks have practised unbroken lineages for over a thousand years, and encounter the warmth and hospitality of Ladakhi and Balti communities in some of the world's highest inhabited places. The journey to Turtuk, perched on the edge of the Pakistan border along the ancient Silk Road, is especially exotic, offering a glimpse of a world suspended in time with terraced fields, apricot orchards and a unique cultural identity shaped by centuries of mountain isolation.
The package includes Inner Line Permit processing for Nubra and Pangong, private transfers across all mountain routes, daily breakfast and carefully chosen hotels and heritage properties, so you can focus entirely on the extraordinary landscapes and profound spiritual energy of this extraordinary region.

Best Time to Visit Ladakh
The prime season from May to September offers stable weather and open mountain passes. June through August provide long daylight hours and relatively warm days at high altitude, perfect for mountain exploration. September and early October deliver crisp air, exceptional visibility and fewer crowds. Winter closes the mountain passes from November through April, making the region inaccessible by road.
