Into the Heart of Satpura Wilderness
Satpura Royal Wilderness Escape is a four day plunge into one of India's finest and least crowded tiger reserves, nestled in the heart of Madhya Pradesh. Unlike the more famous tiger destinations, Satpura offers an intimate wilderness experience where the forest, not the crowds, sets the rhythm of your days.
Starting at dawn with a naturalist guide, you will drive through teak forests and grasslands in search of Bengal tigers, Indian leopards, wild bison, sambar and chital deer. Midday brings respite, and evening brings another safari. Between drives, a 45 minute boat cruise on the Satpura Lake or Madhai river opens another window onto the forest, with sightings of crocodiles, water birds and drinking herds of animals along the banks.
The package includes three nights in a comfortable lodge deep in the forest, all meals, private jeep safaris with an expert naturalist, the boat cruise, and transfers, so you can simply surrender to the wild sounds and sights of one of India's most spectacular protected forests.

Best Time to Visit Satpura
The cool dry months from October to March are the ideal time to visit Satpura National Park. During these months the weather is pleasant for long safari drives, animals concentrate around water sources making sightings more likely, and birds are at their most active. November to February are the peak months for tiger spotting, while September offers post monsoon green landscapes and fewer crowds.
