Best Time to Visit Northeast India

October to March offers the perfect window to explore this region, with clear skies, cool pleasant weather and the best wildlife viewing conditions. In Shillong, temperatures range from 5 to 25 degrees Celsius, making hill station trekking and sightseeing comfortable. Kaziranga National Park's safaris are most rewarding from November to March, when grasslands are dry and wildlife gathers near water sources, and the park itself closes during the monsoon from June to September. While Cherrapunjee is wet and lush during monsoon, October to December provides clear views of waterfalls and valleys.
