Istanbul's Grand History and Cappadocia's Otherworldly Landscape
This six day journey pairs two of Turkey's most distinct experiences, the layered Byzantine and Ottoman history of Istanbul and the surreal volcanic rock formations of Cappadocia in the country's interior.
In Istanbul, step inside the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, cross the Bosphorus by boat between two continents, and wander the covered alleys of the Grand Bazaar. A short domestic flight takes you to Cappadocia, where cave dwellings carved into fairy chimney rock towers set the stage for a sunrise hot air balloon flight over the valley.
The package includes a domestic flight between Istanbul and Cappadocia, airport transfers, five nights across both destinations with daily breakfast, a Bosphorus cruise and the Cappadocia hot air balloon ride, arranged privately for a well-paced circuit.

Best Time to Visit Turkey
April to June and September to October offer the best conditions in both Istanbul and Cappadocia, with mild temperatures ideal for walking tours and the highest chance of clear skies for the hot air balloon flight. July and August bring hot, dry summer heat to Cappadocia, while winter months from November to March are cooler with occasional snow in Cappadocia, adding a different, quieter charm but a higher chance of balloon flights being cancelled for wind.
