Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The Schengen short stay visa allows you to travel to and within any Schengen member countries (Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Greece and others). You can stay up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the entire Schengen area. However, Austria must be your primary destination for the visa to be issued by the Austrian Consulate.
Standard processing time is 10 to 20 working days from the date your complete application is submitted to the Austrian Consulate. During peak seasons (spring and summer) or if additional documents are requested, it may take longer. Our team tracks your application status throughout the process and communicates any updates to you.
Austria issues a sticker visa, which means the visa is physically stamped and affixed into your passport. You must carry your passport when you collect your visa from VFS Global after approval. The visa will be valid for the duration specified by the Consulate.
You need confirmed reservations showing your intended dates and accommodation in Austria. However, do not purchase non-refundable tickets until your visa is approved. A booking confirmation or hotel reservation (which can be cancelled) is sufficient for the application stage.
There is no official minimum. The Consulate looks at your overall financial profile. Typically, 3 to 6 months of bank statements showing stable funds sufficient for accommodation, meals and return travel, plus 2 years of Income Tax Returns, make a strong case. Our team helps you present your finances in the most convincing way.
