Ticketing Executive

About the Role

We are hiring a Ticketing Executive for our travel agency in Malad West, Mumbai. You will manage airline ticketing for holiday packages, group departures and individual travellers, finding the right fares and making sure every ticket is issued correctly.

The role covers the full ticketing cycle for domestic and international flights, from the first availability check to changes after the ticket has been issued. Accuracy matters here, because a small error in a name, date or fare rule can affect a traveller's whole trip.

Key Responsibilities

• Check flight availability and fares for domestic and international sectors and suggest suitable options.
• Create reservations and issue air tickets accurately, with passenger names matching passports or ID.
• Handle date changes, reissues, cancellations and refunds in line with airline fare rules.
• Explain baggage allowance, fare conditions and change penalties to travellers and to our travel consultants.
• Coordinate group air bookings for tours and corporate travel, including name lists and ticketing deadlines.
• Add meal, seat and special service requests where needed.
• Monitor schedule changes and inform travellers promptly.
• Maintain ticketing records and share details with the accounts team for billing.

Experience and Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of air ticketing experience in a travel agency, consolidator or airline reservations desk.
• Working knowledge of a GDS such as Amadeus or Galileo, and of airline and consolidator booking portals.
• Sound understanding of fare rules, reissue and refund procedures.
• High attention to detail, especially with names, dates and routings.
• Clear communication in English and Hindi.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
• An IATA certification or a diploma in travel and tourism is an advantage.

• Familiarity with low cost carrier portals and airline direct booking tools.
• Basic knowledge of transit and visa requirements for common routes.
